Google results: Super Bowl Nursing
So the Giants pulled the upset last night in dramatic fashion. I'll assume you are one of the 90 million + people who saw it! (ratings are not out yet, but Fox is hoping to eclipse 94.08 million, the number of viewers who watched 1996's SuperBowl between the Dallas Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers).

This morning I Googled "Super Bowl Nursing" just to see what would pop up. Results were all over the board:

This morning I Googled "Super Bowl Nursing" just to see what would pop up. Results were all over the board:
- A nursing community complaining (but not really surprised) that they received higher than normal 'sick' calls on gameday and the following morning.
- Tom Brady 'Nursing' a bum ankle. This article is a week or two old. There's also similar articles from a couple weeks back when Terrell Owens had a bad ankle sprain.
- Dozens of articles about people nursing hangovers the day after the game. This one, in fact, cites a statistic that says 19.2 million US employees per week are either drinking on the job or hungover from the night before!
- A better-for-you approach to party food for the game. We like the idea of that! Instead of loading up on high-fat foods, the article offers simple recipes you can make for your party that won't hit your waistline as hard.
- Related to this, some Super Bowl food facts:
- Nearly 1 in 8 Americans order takeout/delivery food from a restaurant for a SB party - with Pizza being the most popular (58%).
- On Super Bowl Sunday, Americans will eat an estimated 20 million pounds of potato and tortilla chips and eight million pounds of avocados.
- Sales for antacid increase by 20% on Super Bowl weekend.
Anyway, the results here would seem to show your unit is probably understaffed and lethargic today. Oh well - that's Super Bowl Monday!
